"Its something unpredictable, but in the end is right, I hope you had the time of your life...." thanks for the use of the picture, Sherm :)

IF MOTORCYCLES ENTICE YOU, YOU MUST CONSENT.

Kawani and Sherm ready to leave Lake Topaz. Kawani is an experienced rally bike now.

Sunday morning breakfast with Sherm, GyspyCat and daFrog.

Looks like the prize patrol...

By the way, lets have Sky sing some songs for us next year. He has a great singing voice..

Folks waiting for the Saturday night drawing. Sue, Sky, Mike in front. Jack, Sherm, Sandy and Skid in the rear.

Don VSP supervising the loading procedure. Don did a fabulous job of organizing the rally.

Saturday before dinner, Sherm loads Kawani onto the trailer for an early start Sunday morning..

It was quiet and cool in the coffeehouse.

Saturday afternoon in Garderville. Sherm is staying cool and checking email at a coffee shop..

After lunch in Genoa, we set off toward Lake Topaz. Look at that beautiful weather!

Blame it on the Sobee....

Other people were licking ice cream....

"Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway..."

Stopping in Markleeville for a little refreshment.

Monitor Pass has an elevation of 8413. The road up is quite spectacular.

Another group set out over Monitor Pass.

Since the day showed promise of being clear and sunny, several groups set out in various directions. As I recall, this group was going toward Lake Tahoe.

Saturday morning. Sandy and Skid have on shirts as blue as the cloudless sky.

Those coupons for a free drink in the bar every day sure are condusive to conversation. Skid's making a point....

"Time....don't let it slip away. Raise your drinking glass, here's to yesterday. " Aerosmith

And eating fresh Rainier cherries flown in from Washington!

Sitting around visiting on Friday afternoon after the rides.

Its so good to see Sherm "back in the saddle again"....and that new bike is sure nice!

Sherm and Slots relaxing and waiting for a few sprinkles to stop falling.

Sherm is pointing to a sugar-free sign in the candy store...but no one bought anything. We just oggled it all.

Slots is making an important announcment, to which Cranky and Cash Kaw listen attentively.

Line of bikes parked on the main drag in Virginia City.

Parking in Virginia City.

Approaching Gold Hill..not a very large town.

Part of the group of 19 bikes on the way to Virginia City. Here... stopped for a light in Carson City.

The group followed "Bobulas" Septic and Sludge Removal truck for miles.

With Slots in the lead, 19 bikes are on the way to Virginia City after breakfast. Hard to tell if its going to rain or not.

Scorpion~ made bail and arrived in time for breakfast. Looks like a new story has been born!

Cat and BikerDad at breakfast. That's quite a slab of ham in front of Cat!

Friday. A new day, a new meal.

Maggie and Snickers.

Jim Sieglaar and Sherm in deep discussion. Topic: How to keep your tie-dyed shirts bright and sparkling, never faded.

The weather had improved very little when Sandy, Skid, Slots and Jack settled in at the bar. To quote Bob Marley..."In the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty"....but at this rally you would be a fool not to use your "free drink" coupon every day!

Hats off to the chef!

The soup and salad dinner!

Sherm eats healthy as usual...

Debbie and Mark..the Grumpas.

Jim S, Slots and Sherm getting out of the rain...

Never too early to start the liquor part of the weekend..

Mitch, Skid, and Slots getting out of the rain. The blurry person looks like the rain is sort of getting to him.....

Better late than never on the bike cover.....

It wasn't long after we arrived and unpacked that the Thursday monsoon arrived. It doesn't rain like this in Puget Sound. Honest.

Here's the rally virgin sitting under the trees in Carson City. At least Sherm left Kawani in the shade.
